Agile BioFoundry Directed Funding Opportunity for 2020
The Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy’s Bioenergy Technologies Office (BETO)-funded Agile BioFoundry (ABF) consortium is overseeing a Directed Funding Opportunity for industry partners to utilize ABF capabilities. Partners can use this funding to develop novel microbial hosts and bioproducts, as well as to create new capabilities and approaches that will improve the Design-Build-Test-Learn biomanufacturing cycle.
We’re seeking proposals that leverage the ABF’s world-class capabilities to address challenges in biomanufacturing identified by industry and academia.
This opportunity funds competitively-selected Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADAs) between BETO laboratory consortia and partners from industry and academia.
Up to $5,700,000 will be available for this call. We anticipate 8 to 15 projects will be selected with a project duration of two years.
After reading the application documents, please send a brief description of your potential project to firstname.lastname@example.org. You may also use this address for any inquiries about this opportunity.
Proposals should be emailed to email@example.com no later than 5PM PDT March 31st, 2020.
The ABF is supported by the Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy’s Bioenergy Technologies Office.
