Chris Yeager

Los Alamos National Laboratory

Chris Yeager is a staff scientist in the Chemistry Division at Los Alamos National Laboratory with over 25 years of experience exploring the physiology, biochemistry, and ecology of microorganisms. He received his Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Oregon State University in 2001 and has been with the DOE National Lab system since. His research focuses on the selection and development of host microorganisms to convert biomass – or other substrates – into fuels, chemicals, and polymers. Within the ABF, he is a co-lead for the Host Onboarding and Development sub-task and participates in the Ethanol sub-task.
