James Gardner works in the Biosciences Area at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, where he serves as Program Manager for the Agile BioFoundry. He received his PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Florida in 1999. In his capacity with the ABF, James helps manage ongoing collaborations with outside groups, oversees the ABF’s directed funding opportunities, and works more broadly with teams to raise the visibility of the ABF within the synthetic biology community. James also provides managerial support to LBNL’s Advanced Biofuels and Bioproducts Process Development Unit as well as the Biological Systems and Engineering Division.
