James Gardner works in the Biosciences Area at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (Berkeley Lab), where he serves as Program Manager for the Agile BioFoundry. He received his PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Florida in 1999. In his capacity with the Agile BioFoundry, James helps manage ongoing collaborations with outside groups, oversees the Agile BioFoundry’s directed funding opportunities, and works more broadly with teams to raise the visibility of the Agile BioFoundry within the synthetic biology community. James also provides managerial support to Berkeley Lab’s Advanced Biofuels and Bioproducts Process Development Unit as well as the Biological Systems and Engineering Division.
